Well… after crossing the initial hurdle, I went to bed …

Only to wake up an hour later than I had planned… I had about an hour left to get ready and go to coll… and as usual, I couldn’t make it… do the very first day in college, I was late….

After lotta looking around, I finally found the chart of the class room allocation, looked up my class room and took a good 10 mins to find it and walk in…

There was Mr.Stanley in there, addressing the classs… he asked me o come in without any fuss and I was lucky enough to get a seat in the back of the class… sitting near a guy called Selvan….

Stanley asked us to introduce ourselves, but he wanted us to remember each other , so the first person had to get up tell his name, the next was to tell the 1^st’s name and then his/her own name, the third had to say the 1^st and 2^nd’s name and then his/her name and so on…

So, this guy stood up and said the names of the first three guys and the said, “ Hai Friends.. My name is R-A-J-E-S-H , Rajesh” and the whole class burst out laughing… that is how I met the cool dude from IT, Rajessh…

The whole day went off in introductions itself… we had quiet an odd collection of teachers… but they were a good team, and as it happened, Stanley was our class counselor(The poor teacher who had to solve all the student’s problems and also the staff’s problems with the students) not only that this guy was a good photographer and he was favoured for field trips and stuff… that’s how we got our first ever “get out of college during class” break…

Ragging … For the first and last time…

A week later…

We had no ragging till this point of time… as it happens, we were put along with a batch of final year students of I don’t remember which department in the college bus and there was no staff either… so, this guy Varun of the final years (who happened to be the treasurer of the leo club) started turning the wheels of his fellow students..

So , they called a guy Anoop of my batch and told him to go propose to a girl from their year.. he went , looked at the girl, decided she was not worth it and proposed to the girl sitting next top her… came back and told the seniorstaht the gal they showed him was not good and so he proposed to the girl sittin next to her who looked a lot better… that shut them up!!!

We all went to this Aashram wher there was a temple and lotta bramin kids learning the Vedas… had a nice time there with the old people from the oold age home, which was right behind the temple there… they were very hospitable…

Later on, we went to a school and bought them stationaries and some biscuits… Took a lot of photos there and started back for coll… (Those photos were displayed on the notice board of the first year block for about two years!!!)… WElll, we got the afternoon off with full attendance, we lazed our time away and came back to the hostel…

Nothingg much happened that night, just met almost all of the guys in the hostel(first years tat is) and found out that a school buddy , Arun was also here in the same college and the same dept…. some of my school mates were also there, well, the day went well… had a gala time and a nice long sleep….
